Custody Terms Modified In Britney's Favour

Written by admin. Posted in Custody Battle

The first decision was in regard to the Dept. of Children & Family Services’ petition for the unedited report on Britney’s parenting abilities. When the minutes of the hearing are released tomorrow, it might be revealed whether or not the Dept. was granted full access.

The second was about modifications in the visitation schedule for the upcoming holiday period, which has been “significantly modified.” It is believed that the court has likely allowed Britney extra days to spend with the boys, perhaps even allowing her to take them out of town for a short time.

The third ruling remains a mystery, with the court press officer saying only that he “couldn’t discuss” it. However, insiders believe this ruling is likely tied to either Brit’s reportedly positive drug tests, or her rather public driving incidents.

No End To The Custody Battle In Sight

Written by admin. Posted in Custody Battle

While many had expected that today’s hearing in the ongoing custody war between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline would be a day with at least a handful of final, definitive rulings handed down from the court, the legal eagle for wannabe rapper K-Fed tells OK! that, in actuality, things are far from over.

“It’s not like in a civil trial where an order will be handed down to resolve the case,” Mark Vincent Kaplan explained to OK! after Monday’s hearing. “In family court, a case can go on as long as the children are minors.”

Well, considering the oldest of the two boys is barely 26 months old, that could mean almost two more decades of courtroom showdowns. Does Kaplan see any hope for a resolution in the near future? “I have to say that much will be resolved at the April hearing when we expect the evaluation will be done,” he tells OK!. “You can’t expect to go to a full hearing if one set of evaluations is not complete.”

As of now, the lawyers aren’t set to duke it out until after the New Year. But as we’ve seen, that can change in the blink of an eye — or a stop light.

Britney's Dancer: "Piece Of Me" Video To Be Shot Soon

Written by admin. Posted in Blackout, Comeback

One of Britney’s dancers, Criscilla Crossland, has added a new blog to her MySpace profile saying that she will be filming a new music video soon. Criscilla, who danced for Britney on the House of Blues tour earlier this year, and the “Gimme More” and “Do Somethin'” music videos, doesn’t say who the video is for, but it’s pretty obvious it’s for Britney. She updated just before she shot the “Gimme More” video too.

She says, “I guarantee it will be hot,” she adds that fans “will be pleased”.

A Bit More Info On The "Piece Of Me" Video

The second video from Britney Spears’ ‘Blackout’ has to come later than expected after the production was halted. The video’s producer was involved in an accident and therefore the shooting schedule was changed from November 16 to thanksgiving days (November 22-25).

“They rescheduled it for next week,” said a statement issued last weekend. “It’s strictly the production company’s fault and they are paying to compensate for lost time.” The shooting is for her second single ‘Piece of Me’ that is confirmed by Sony/BMG to be officially released on January 11, 2008.

A source has spilled the concept of the video to World Entertainment News Network saying, “Location scouts are still trying to find a club in Los Angeles for the shoot. The video is very hush-hush, but I understand it will feature scenes of Britney trying to escape the clutches of the paparazzi.”

A cover for the single which will be released to radio outlets on Tuesday, November 27, has been leaked earlier this month.

Britney Taking Measures To Protect Sean & Jayden

Written by admin. Posted in Custody Battle

Britney Spears is taking “security measures” to protect her children, her attorney says.

“Recent aggressive actions by individuals who have followed (Spears) and blocked her access, with and without the children, have resulted in her decision to take certain security measures which she hopes will only be necessary temporarily, for the protection of the children,” Sorrell Trope said in a statement Monday.

No specifics were given on what those measures would be.

Spears, 25, locked in a custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline, 29, is routinely swarmed by photographers and has run over the feet of them at least twice as they surrounded her car.

A judge last week ordered that Spears no longer could drive with sons Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, after it was revealed she had allegedly run a red light with them in the car.

Over the weekend, the three of them were chauffeured to the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills.

As for the ongoing custody case, Trope said steps are being taken to calm the media storm.

“Ms. Spears hopes that she and Mr. Federline will be able to reach an agreement as to all matters concerning their children,” Trope said. “She hopes that by not commenting on court proceedings the media attention in those proceedings will subside, which she requests for the safety and well being of the children.”

Meanwhile, it was announced that Federline would be hosting a New Year’s party at the Tangerine Lounge & Nightclub in Las Vegas.
