Britney Hysterical At Cedars-Sinai Medical Center

Written by admin. Posted in Personal Issues, Rumours

Britney apparently cried all night after being rushed to Cedars-Sinai medical center.

A source inside the hospital claims that while being rushed on the stretcher through the hospital corridors, Britney was screaming “I’d rather die than let him have my babies.”  She carried on screaming that she wanted to die.  Hospital staff proceeded to sedate her.

Not sure how reliable the source is, but anything is possible right now…

What's Wrong With Jayden?

After all the Britney drama, it’s easy to forget that her youngest son, Jayden James, was rushed to hospital in a seperate ambulance…

Kevin’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is apparently scheduling an emergency custody hearing today to invoke permanent primary physical custody of the boys.

Britney At Hospital For A "Mental Evaluation"

Written by admin. Posted in Personal Issues

Sources told gossip rag Page Six during all the drama last night that Britney was being rushed to hospital for a “mental evaluation”.

The actual reason for last night’s drama is yet to be revealed, but there are numerous rumours, from a panic attack to attempted suicide.

Whatever it is, I hope it’s not something too bad.  At least her Dad is by her side.

Britney Rushed To Hospital After Police Standoff

Written by admin. Posted in Custody Battle, Personal Issues

Police cars, ambulances and firetrucks with sirens blazing, helicopters hovering above — It was a scene straight out of a Hollywood blockbuster Thursday night as Britney Spears and her infant hid from the authorities inside her Beverly Hills home.

“It looked like a hostage situation,” one witness told OK! at the time.

So how did this all happen? OK! retraces her steps.

11:32am:
Britney, in a bright fuschia halter dress and heels, arrives over 90 minutes late to her final chance to give a court-ordered deposition in her custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline. She is only able to be deposed for approximately 14 minutes.

12:20pm: Brit arrives back home at her gated community, The Summit. Her sons are there for their scheduled visit, as is a court-appointed monitor.

7:00pm: K-Fed’s security team arrives to pick up boys Sean Preston and Jayden James and bring them back to their father’s house. When there is a delay in releasing the boys, Britney’s assistant Carla makes excuses for the pop star. However, it soon becomes clear that there is a problem.

At some point, 2-year-old Sean Preston is removed from the house, leaving only little Jayden inside with his mother.

8:00pm: The police are notified of a custodial situation at Britney’s house and officers are dispatched to The Summit. But when they arrive, they find that the court-appointed monitor, who has been locked out of the house, is not in possession of the paperwork required to allow them to enter Britney’s house.

9:20pm: K-Fed’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan arrives at The Summit with the required paperwork. He and five police cars enter the gated community and drive up to Britney’s house.

10:30pm: More than a dozen police officers, as well as two ambulances and a handful of fire rescue trucks are now on the scene. Sometime before 11:00pm, Britney’s cousin Alli and Brit’s assistant Carla leave the house, leaving Brit alone with Jayden James.

11:45pm: Britney is taken out of her home strapped to a gurney and placed into an ambulance, which is escorted by 13 police cars with sirens blaring to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, arriving at approximately 12:30am. Jayden is brought to the hospital in a separate vehicle.

Police officers are inside the ambulance with Britney during the ride to the hospital. While nothing official has been stated on the topic, this is generally a sign that the patient is considered to be in police custody.

“We are concerned about her mental state and believe she may be under the influence,” an LAPD officer revealed to OK! at the time of Brit’s arrival at Cedars-Sinai.

Britney, who had been sobbing when taken from her home, appears distant and erratic as she is escorted out of the ambulance and into the hospital. “Her eyes were like pinholes,” another witness recalls to OK!.

Already waiting at the hospital’s Emergency Room is K-Fed and his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, who tells OK!, “I actually don’t know what is going on.”

Britney’s pal Sam Lutfi followed the ambulance to the hospital and was initially denied entrance to see his troubled friend.

There is no sign of Britney’s newest boy-toy, photographer Adnan Ghalib.

1:15am: A surprise guest arrives — Britney’s estranged father Jamie Spears. The two had not seen each other in at least eight months. It is unknown as of now whether or not Britney’s mother Lynne, pregnant sister Jamie Lynn or brother Brian are on their way to L.A.

For now, sources are telling OK! that the plan is to keep Britney under guarded observation for 24 hours and then book her for as-yet unnamed offensives.

Britney Refuses To Hand Over Kids; Police Called To Her Home

Written by admin. Posted in Custody Battle

Britney Spears is defying court-mandated custody hours by refusing to turn over her sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline’s bodyguard.

The pop star was due to turn over Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, at 7 p.m. PST. Federline’s bodyguard arrived at her home to pick them up, but Spears would not budge. She has been with the kids since noon Thursday.

Ninety minutes later, police arrived.

“There have been police sent to that residence,” an officer tells Usmagazine.com. “We don’t know anymore at this time, but apparently they’ve arrived.”

Spears’ attorney, Sorrell Trope, tells Us, “In a normal case when someone shows up with a certified court order saying the kids need to be somewhere else, the police see to it that the order is obeyed. But that is in a normal case.”

Spears had shown up for a custody deposition Thursday afternoon (after skipping two depositions in the past month) but left after about 45 minutes. “She was cooperative,” Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said. “There has been no change in anything. It will be continued to another date, which I will not say at this time.”

On Wednesday, Trope sought permission from the court to end his representation of the singer. A source told Usmagazine.com. “[His firm] couldn’t reign her in. No one can, and it’s an embarrassment in front of the judge.”

Spears, 26, lost shared custody of her sons in October.

Britney Turned Up For One Of Her Scheduled Depositions Today

Written by admin. Posted in Custody Battle

After a brief visit to the Los Angeles office of Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, where she was scheduled to be give a deposition, Britney Spears left the building.

The singer, wearing a hot pink dress and heels, arrived Thursday morning for her deposition after numerous previous failures to show. Less than an hour later, she drove off in her white Mercedes without speaking to the press.

Spears, 26, was expected to be grilled about her past drug and alcohol use, her apparent failure to follow court orders and other matters that might pertain to her parenting skills.

Asked if he got information he was looking for, Kaplan replied stoically, “In 14 minutes?”

He described her demeanor as “cooperative,” and said the appointment was only scheduled from 9:45 to 11:45 a.m. “I would’ve preferred it had gone on longer,” he said.

The attorney added that he hasn’t decided whether to pursue sanctions against Spears for being late. He also said another deposition appointment had been set, but gave no details.

Although he said Spears gave a reason for being an hour and a half late, he did not specify what the excuse was.

Despositions Draining

“A deposition can be emotionally draining, because Kevin’s lawyer can ask very personal questions about her relationship with her kids – and she’ll be under oath,” says L.A. family lawyer Lynn Soodik, who’s not involved with the case.

On Wednesday, Spears’s legal team filed a request with a court asking that it be removed from the singer’s custody case, citing a “breakdown in communications” with Spears.

A hearing in that matter is set for Feb. 4. Until then, the firm of Trope & Trope still represents her.

Kaplan has already completed a number of depositions with Spears’s associates, including her longtime friend, Alli Sims, former manager Larry Rudolph and former bodyguard Daimon Shippen.

Kaplan will use evidence gathered from the depositions to try to persuade the court that Federline, 29, should be granted primary physical custody of their children, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, in any final ruling.

Britney Has Two More Chances To Make Her Deposition

Written by admin. Posted in Custody Battle, Sean Preston

britneycruising.jpgWhen Britney Spears decided on Wednesday to blow off her second court-ordered deposition — her seventh missed depo overall — in her ongoing custody with ex-hubby Kevin Federline, it’s highly likely that the troubled singer didn’t understand the damage she’d done to her case. And now, sources close to the case reveal exclusively to OK! that Brit has given one last opportunity to be deposed before she risks the chance that the court could end up giving K-Fed permanent custody of the former couple’s two young boys.

“To be precise, it’s actually two appointments she must keep,” the insider tells OK!. And Brit must make both of these scheduled deposition appearances — one slated for late this week; the second during the final week of January — in order to have any chance of winning back custody of her children.

But how can Britney be expected to be deposed when her lawyers filed a request with the court on Wednesday to be removed as the Toxic singer’s legal reps? Turns out, explains another source close to the case, that the legal eagles at the firm of Trope & Trope will likely remain on the case Feb. 4, at which point the court will acknowledge Brit’s new lawyers. “Her lawyers can’t just leave Britney in a lurch,” explains the source. “They must remain on the case until she officially fires them and/or until she find new representation.”

Of course it doesn’t help matters that, according to the source, lawyers on both sides of the Spears vs. Federline war are convinced that, in spite of all the warnings, Britney will once again choose to blow off at least one of the two remaining scheduled deposition appointments.

“If she fails to show up,” explains one case insider, “[Kevin’s lawyer] Mark Vincent Kaplan will likely ask the judge to award Kevin complete and permanent custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James.” And if the judge says no? “Kevin’s lawyer will probably ask for the trial to go ahead as planned on April 9, but without allowing Britney’s team to depose anymore witnesses for Kevin’s side of the case.”

One person that is definitely keeping his mouth shut until Britney gives her deposition is K-Fed himself. “There’s no way Kaplan will allow Kevin to be deposed without Britney having first completed her court-ordered deposition.”

Meanwhile, Britney spent her Wednesday cruising up and down the coast of Southern California, after having spent the previous evening in the desert oasis of Palm Springs, Calif., allegedly with her new beau, photographer Adnan Ghalib. In the afternoon, Brit drove, at an alarmingly fast speed, from her home in Beverly Hills toward her home in Malibu, only to make an illegal U-turn right before arriving, and then heading all the way back to Beverly Hills.

Britney Fails To Show Up For Fifth Deposition

Written by admin. Posted in Custody Battle

TMZ has learned Britney Spears’ deposition was scheduled today and she didn’t show — again!

If we’re counting correctly, this is the fifth time her scheduled deposition in the custody case didn’t happen. Last month, Britney claimed she was too ill to sit for her depo, yet TMZ caught her out partying that same night.

Sources say the fact that she didn’t show for the depo was a factor in her lawyers’ decision to file papers today asking to withdraw as counsel, but it was only one of many reasons. As one connected source put it, “Her whole life has become insane and it’s impossible for anyone to get through to her.”
